The 35th International Scientific Conference “Ecology & Safety” marks a significant milestone in the history of one of Southeastern Europe's longest running scientific events dedicated to environmental protection, ecological sustainability, and safety.
Established in 1991 and held annually without interruption, the conference celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2026. For more than three decades, it has served as an international platform for researchers, academics, industry professionals, and policymakers to exchange knowledge, present scientific findings, and address pressing challenges in environmental protection, sustainable development, and industrial safety.
Throughout its history, the conference has welcomed distinguished scientists, senior government officials, including vice presidents and ministers, municipal leaders, and representatives of leading national and international companies. It has benefited from the cooperation and sponsorship of major industry partners and prominent academic institutions. Particularly rewarding has been the opportunity to witness the professional development of generations of participants, welcoming some colleagues initially as doctoral students and, years later, as established professors and senior academics. These enduring relationships reflect the conference's commitment to fostering a vibrant and lasting international scientific community.
On this special occasion, the Science & Education Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to all speakers, authors, reviewers, scientific committee members, institutional partners, sponsors, and participants whose dedication and contributions have shaped the conference throughout its history. Their continued support has been fundamental to its longevity, academic standing, and international recognition.
We warmly invite the international scientific community to join us in celebrating the 35th anniversary of “Ecology & Safety” in 2026, as we honour more than three decades of scientific achievement and look towards new opportunities for research, dialogue, innovation, and international cooperation.
